Meatless Mondays at Elliotts

Every Monday, the chefs at Elliotts craft a menu to benefit their customers health, cutting meat out completely. Along with regular menu options, both small and large plates will be available to support the movement of the Meatless Monday Campaign.

Why Monday you may ask? Well for most Americans, the week begins on Monday- that makes Monday the perfect day to make a change for your health and the health of the planet.

Why Meatless? Going meatless once a week may reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetetes and obesity. It can also reduce your carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel.

Brief History of Meatless Mondays
Began in 2003 as a non-profit initiative of The Monday Campaigns, in association with the Johns Hopkins' Bloomberg School of Public Health. Healthy Monday encourages Americans to make healthier decisions at the start of each and every week. Over 20 schools of public health have endorsed the campaign including Carnegie Mellon University, Columbia and Harvard.
